Review Policy
Reviews only matter if they’re real. This policy explains how The Big HVAC Directory handles ratings and reviews.
No fabricated reviews or ratings
We never invent reviews, seed fake ratings, or display a star score a business hasn’t earned. If a listing has no reviews yet, it says so. That’s a feature, not a gap.
Where reviews come from
As the community grows, reviews will come from real people describing real experiences. We don’t re-publish or scrape review content from other platforms, and a business cannot pay to add, remove, or edit a genuine review.
Moderation
We may remove content that is fake, off-topic, defamatory, or that violates our terms — but we won’t remove a review simply because a business dislikes it. Both homeowners and contractors can report content they believe breaks these rules.
